Egyptian born Mustafa Kamel Mustafa , is to face terrorism charges after more than a decade of anti British, rantings. He is probably one of the most hated men in Britain. The one time night club bouncer, mujahideen fighter and radical cleric, is somewhat better known as Abu Hamza al-Masri, or Captain Hook. That an Egyptian ex-mujahideen, should turn out to be a radical menace, is one thing – that United Kingdom law enforcement has spinelessly put up with years of treasonous ranting, is quite another. It is deeply shaming that this poisonous snake was allowed to ply his trade for so long What are we, when PC relativistic nonsense takes precedence over jailing a man who openly preaches treason in the heart of London?
My only regret over the charges, is that they take precedence over a US request for extradition. Hamza is one individual that I’d have dearly loved to see in an orange jump suit at Guantanamo Bay. It wouldn’t surprise me, if the British charges have been cobbled together to save him from that fate. There is a cancer at the heart of our society. It saps our strength and stops us fighting a slide to crime, anarchy and chaos. It isn’t radical Islam, it is the failure of our nation to punish those that harm us.

That's what happens when political correctness turns into political complacency.
Policy-makers, in their lovely suburban homes, haven't a clue about the 'situation on the ground'. Reading a situation report, which has been politically corrected by the time it lands on some politician's desk, or actually living smack in the middle of, let's say, an area which has been taken over and run into the ground by members from one (immigrant) race, is a totally different story.
Since I'm living in an area which has been overrun by 'asylum seekers' from Africa, I have a totally different take on asylum laws than the rose-coloured idealistic views I had when I was younger and believed that every asylum seeker is a political refugee.
In terms of asserting blame, I'd throw it right at those idiots in government who -- especially at local level -- stand by watching how whole neighbourhoods go down the drain, instead of preventing ghetto-forming in their cities.
Believe me, the Dutch (my current home and nationality -- I'm the most unpatriotic soul on earth, my patriotism belongs to mother earth, if you will) are even worse!
Do you remember Pim Fortyn some 3 years ago who ran on an anti-asylum and tough on crime platform with no prior political experience at all, and whose party - after he got shot - still made it into Parliament? That was a clear signal to the Dutch government. Heavens, the entire football contingent of Holland (something like 95% of the country) put on their sneekers and voted. Unique in Dutch history. (Now they're back on their couches drawing dole and watching football).
I doubt that the government has learned much, after the intial shock.
Well, at least it took England only 6 years to charge your friendly neighbourhood mullah ;-)
Shall we make a bet how long it will take before your friendly Dutch mullah will be brought up on charges?

Well Pispas - I think most folks would not object to genuine refugees receiving help, but our experience is that well over two thirds of people arriving here and claiming assylum are simply opportunists or worse. However, so spineless is our system, that though they are refused leave to remain, they do so anyway and for the most part, are allowed to disappear. We've now got a huge influx of TB and HIV infected people in my own city, neither of which, especially HIV were common until the last couple of years. I have a friend who is a medic, who knows of two young African women, aware they have HIV who are earning their living as prostitutes. Apparently, they go for volume trade, charging ten pounds.... The mind boggles as to the result of this.
As for the city officials allowing settlement in ghettos - government policy here has forced dispersal. This was to relieve the intense pressure in some areas such as Dover, but we now have tribes of impoverished, non-English speakers lurking about the poorer corners of our major cities. They have no money, so where else would they be. I'm not a natural opponent of immigration, since my own great grandparents on two sides were economic migrants from Italy and Ireland - its a question of scale and the evasion of laws designed to control it. My Italian ancestor didn't stow away on a lorry, he got on a boat with his wife and asked permission to enter. Then he made his own living and paid taxes. It's different to what is going on now.
Of course, real political refugees or legal immigrants are an entirely different matter.
