Freak Objects To Comical Depiction

Michael Jackson has asked TV stations across America not to broadcast a comic video in which rapper Eminem, ridicules the so called pop legend by dressing like him, and appearing on a bed surrounded by young boys.

Sounds like fair comment to me Mikey baby, especially the bit where the false nose falls off. You know, as my sainted Grandma used to say, ‘Fred lad - if ya divint wanna be portrayed as a freak – just divint turn yersel intae one.’

You know - that’s as sound a piece of advice today as when she first said it to me, all of eighty six years ago.

I don't much like either of the protagonists in this tale, so I tend to hope that perchance they might sue eachother to death. But my point is that this video should be withdrawn lest it be prejudicial to the best interests of the children involved in the Jackson case. I don't reckon Eminem or anyone else has the right to be making money by exploiting their predicament.

Hi Q,

Well - the kids in the Jackson case do need to be protected of course.

At least Eminem's spoof may do a little to remove the halo of sanctity that seems to surround the freak in the eyes of some. I've seen quaintly emotional ravings from half mad fans, referring to Jackson as if he were a saint. I can not for the life of me understand why these people don't see him for what he is - an emotionally stunted, dysfunctional Peter Pan; surgically changed into a grotesque parody of the human form. He is the stuff of nightmares.

Oh - and he's rapidly coming to be viewed by saner folk as a paedophile too. Whether he be, or no, I cannot say. One will just have to wait for the courts to do their stuff, but if the OJ case is anything to go by, celebrity seems to bring an air of hallowed sanctity, that may in fact allow the guilty to escape their just deserts...
